“Circles” is a collaboration between film maker Ray Bird and Jusztina Hermann, Edinburgh based circus performer and director who works with female narratives in circus-theatre.
This circus film honours life cycles, our connection to nature, ancestry, the Scottish landscape, folklore and its ancient heritage in the form of stone circles, matching them with the contemporary circles of hula hoops.
The film aims to bring the celebration of life, circus and Scotland to audiences worldwide.
